"With a cheeky, almost childlike spirit that incorporates traditional Japanese characters presented in psychedelic shades of neon, Ghostboy’s latest collection is done in collaboration with Gimmick Tattoo’s Bowie Heng.
Although formally trained in Fashion Design, Bowie’s venture into tattoo artistry was by pure serendipity, not design. The tattoo artists whom she met as friends blossomed into mentors who helped kick-start her journey.
During the collaborative process, Bowie was most excited about the creative freedom and synergy between Ghostboy and herself—successfully allowing Ghostboy to inject their loud, signature aesthetic into her intricate illustrations. With an affinity for bold lines, colours and incorporating elements that are Japanese or Americana, it should come as no surprise that her artistry focuses heavily on fun and exploration."
